IXY has organised multiple conferences for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change since 2008. The Bangkok Climate Change Conference includes informal sessions of the AWG-LCA, AWG-KP and ADP. Negotiators from some 190 countries party to the UNFCCC focused on developing implementation guidelines of the Climate Change Agreement. Approximately 2,500 delegates participate each year.

Thailand hosted the 14th Asia Cooperation Dialogue Ministerial Meeting, with the theme ‘ACD – The Way Forward’ in Bangkok. On 10 March 2016, the Prime Minister of Thailand presided over the opening ceremony, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs chairing the meeting of 1,000 high-level delegates from 33 member countries.

Thailand hosted the 2nd Asia-Pacific Water Summit entitled ‘Water Security and Water-Related Disaster Challenges: Leadership and Commitment’, as well as accompanying technical workshops and exhibitions all organised by IXY. The summit was attended by leaders, ministers and high-level representatives from 49 countries in Asia and the Pacific with approximately 4,000 delegates.
Thailand hosted the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit in 2016 with the theme ‘One Asia, Diverse Strengths’, with 34 leaders of Asian countries meeting to discuss how to mobilise the region’s strengths and resources to drive the next phase of global growth. The multi-day summit had 500 delegates in attendance.
The 8th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy Summit began with the CEO Forum on 15 June, which brought together ACMECS leaders, development partners, financial institutions and the private sector. IXY organised the plenary meeting, an informal retreat, and the additional 13th BIMP-EAGA Summit and 12th IMT-GT Summit with approximately 3,000 delegates in attendance.
